Presidential spokesperson George Charamba has poked fun at dancehall star Winky D after the artist performed in military-style attire at his Saturday show, a look long associated with Jah Prayzah’s “Masoja” image.
Charamba quipped on X: “Abvuma uyo!!!!! He copied from the best. Next, kurova mbira nekutamba chimbo cheVaZumba!!!!!” suggesting Winky D was borrowing heavily from Jah Prayzah’s trademark style.
Both Winky D and Jah Prayzah have dominated Zimbabwe’s music scene for years, often igniting comparisons between their styles, lyrics, and fan bases.
Charamba’s tweet added fuel to an already ongoing debate among music lovers.
