Socialite and entertainer DJ Towers has ignited heated debate after labeling Zimdancehall superstar Winky D a satanist during an interview with DJ Sparks.
Towers, known for his outspoken nature, claimed he was unafraid to speak out because of his faith in God.
“I believe in God so I can say anything without fear,” Towers said. “Winky D akaromba, anopedza vanhu vasina kusimba patinoti spiritual.”
The remarks have already triggered strong reactions online, with many of Winky D’s fans dismissing Towers’ comments as baseless slander, while others say such accusations are reckless and dangerous in Zimbabwe’s polarized entertainment scene.
Winky D, popularly known as The Gaffa, has long been one of the country’s most celebrated yet controversial musicians, often facing criticism from political figures and rivals over his hard-hitting lyrics and cult-like following.
