Temba Mliswa has confirmed that he was detained by police at Magunje Police Station on Tuesday night.
Mliswa says his arrest is linked to the ongoing Rengwe Conservancy dispute, which he claims has become personal between him and senior police officials, including CG Mutamba and Commissioner Nyazema.
He revealed that he is being charged with prospecting for minerals without a licence and is expected to appear in court today.
The Rengwe Conservancy matter has been a source of controversy, with allegations of land and resource exploitation drawing in political and security figures.
