Businessman and politician Scott Sakupwanya has publicly credited Prophet Walter Magaya for his success, saying his breakthrough came after visiting Magaya’s church at a time when he was burdened with debt.

Speaking on his journey, Sakupwanya said he “once visited church with nothing but debts” and that his transformation was a result of “believing and tapping into the anointing.”

“If you believe and tap into the anointing, everything will be well,” Sakupwanya said, attributing his business rise to Magaya’s spiritual guidance.

The remarks have, however, drawn mixed reactions. Supporters praised the testimony as an example of faith yielding results, while critics dismissed it as an attempt to revive Magaya’s public image and popularity.

Magaya, the founder of Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries, has often been a polarizing figure in Zimbabwe, attracting both devoted followers and outspoken detractors.
