In a recent social media exchange, Chipo Dendere, a prominent political figure and supporter from Mamombe’s constituency, issued a pointed response to Mamombe’s celebratory tweet marking nearly a decade of public service.
Dendere expressed disappointment over what she perceives as a dismissive attitude towards the concerns of opposition supporters and voters.
Mamombe’s tweet highlighted her resilience and continued commitment, stating, “By 2028, it will be 10 years of service! Not bad for someone you say will ‘never’ win again huh. Grace has carried me this far and the story isn’t over yet, it certainly won’t end in Parliament! We move!!!” Her message exuded confidence and determination, emphasizing her journey and future ambitions.
In response, Dendere emphasized the importance of respecting voters’ voices and questioned the leadership and direction of opposition politics under Tshabangu’s leadership.
She pointed out that Mamombe’s victories were made possible by genuine voter support, urging for acknowledgment of the people’s efforts and votes.
