Acclaimed Dendera artist Sulumani Chimbetu has strongly denied explosive social media rumours claiming he made romantic overtures to Grace Mugabe, the widow of the late former president Robert Mugabe.
The viral claims, which swept across platforms over the weekend, alleged that Chimbetu proposed to the former first lady during an alleged encounter in Mazowe and that he was later reported for harassment at a police station in Harare.
But speaking exclusively to ZimLive on Tuesday, Chimbetu dismissed the reports as “false, fabricated, and malicious.
““I’m just seeing the messages and posts going viral about the allegations. It’s not true. Nothing of that sort has ever happened. These are just people trying to create content in a bad way,” he said.
