Prominent Zimbabwean lawyer and advocate, Fadzayi Mahere, marked her 40th birthday with a heartfelt message of gratitude, reflection, and anticipation for the future.
In a message shared with her followers, Mahere expressed appreciation for the outpouring of birthday wishes and reflected on reaching a personal milestone she described as “special.”
“Turning 40 feels special mostly because I am where I hoped I would be when my younger self was working out what living a life of meaning could look like,” she said.
Mahere, known for her advocacy work and former role as a spokesperson for Zimbabwe’s main opposition, highlighted the victories and blessings she has experienced along the way.
“So many dreams have come true. So many mountains have been conquered. So many smiles have been enjoyed.”
She attributed her journey to divine grace and acknowledged the love and support around her.
“God has been kind to me, even when I don’t deserve it. Goodness and mercy have followed me and my cup overflows. I am surrounded by love, inspiration and a community that pushes me to be my best self.”
Looking ahead, Mahere expressed optimism and readiness for the next chapter in her life.
“I am excited about what will come next.”
