The Zambian government has ordered hospital in South Africa not to release documents relating to the burial arrangements of Lungu. A protest is being organised by PF supporters outside the Zambian High Commission in Pretoria.

2. Coronoation Fund Managers CFO Mary-Anne Musekiwa has quit. She is married to Norbert Musekiwa. Mary-Anne Musekiwa’s parents, Minah Tswere and the late Edmore Egson Shutu. She will leave the company after serving a six months notice in November and will leave the country. Coronation has over USD40billion under management. She took over the role in 2019 from DirectAxis. She attended Lyttelton Manor High School in Lyttelton, Centurion, Gauteng, from 1995 to 1999 and then pursued tertiary education at the University of Cape Town (UCT) where she earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting, and a Higher Diploma in Tax Law/Taxation. She began her professional career at Deloitte Cape Town, where she completed her articles and worked as an Audit Manager from 2007 to 2010. She then joined Standard Bank as an IFRS Technical and Business Solutions Manager, providing technical accounting oversight for the bank’s operations in 16 African countries from 2010 to 2013. During this period, she also served as the IFRS technical advisor and co-project owner for the Stanbic IBTC IFRS adoption project in Lagos, Nigeria (2011-2012).
From 2013 to 2015, Musekiwa was Group Financial Manager at Howden Africa, overseeing tax compliance and consolidated reporting. She then became Group Head of Reporting at BancABC, part of Atlas Mara, from 2015 to early 2017, managing group reporting and tax compliance.
In 2017, she joined DirectAxis, a FirstRand Group subsidiary, as Chief Financial Officer for Projects, providing strategic and financial input for various business projects until late 2018. She then joined Coronation Fund Managers, initially as Deputy Chief Financial Officer in late 2018, before being appointed Chief Financial Officer in June 2019
