President Emmerson Mnangagwa has met with Ambassador Marie Antoinette, Chief Executive Officer of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM), along with her delegation, in preparation for Zimbabwe’s upcoming review mission on economic governance and financial management, scheduled for August.
The high-level meeting underscores Zimbabwe’s commitment to advancing good governance, transparency, and accountability as part of its obligations under the APRM a voluntary African Union initiative designed to promote peer learning and improve governance across member states.
President Mnangagwa emphasized the importance of the review mission, noting that it provides a valuable opportunity for Zimbabwe to reflect on its progress, identify areas for improvement, and strengthen institutional frameworks supporting economic growth and financial management.
