Zimbabwe teachers will go o an indefinite strike starting on Tuesday. The Federation of Zimbabwe educators Union has notified that the Strike will start on the 26th of May 2025. Teachers are demanding a salary of $1250. Health workers are also preparing to go on indefinite strike.

1. Botswana government salaries have been revealed. The Highest paid employee in the Botswana government takes home P100 000 (USD6000) while the lowest earns P2800 (USD150). Duma Boko has promised to introduce a minimum wage of P4000. Previously the President earned less that the top civil servant before it was adjusted. The Botswana President earns P110,425 plus P19, 378 allowances. Currently the Vice President earns P96 864 while Ministers earn P74, 468 while an assistant Minister earns P57 300 per months and a Deputy Speaker earns P65, 885 although they have extensive benefits.
2. Duma Boko leaves Estonia. The AFDB has loaned Botswana an amount of $304 million to Botswana to cover the budget gap for the 2025 to 2026 year due to weak demand for diamonds.
