In a stunning turn of events, 45 MPs and senators defied a compulsory call to attend a caucus called by self imposed CCC secretary General and instead attended a caucus called by Chamisa backer, Jameson Timba. Chamisa and Chiwenga are working on a coalition that is opposed to Mnangagwa extending is term to 2030.

Timba told the Newsday that Tshabangu only had 21 members attending.

Notes

HH

It was a momentous occasion to visit and address pupils and teachers at my former school, Kalomo Secondary, in Southern Province. As a former pupil of this school from 1976 to 1980 in Red Hostel and graduated from Form 5A Class, we will always cherish this school and hold it dear to our hearts.

Day 2 of my State Visit to Estonia  –  An engaging session at e-Estonia, where I gained deeper insights into how digital governance has transformed service delivery, improved transparency, and empowered citizens. This was followed by a high-impact engagement with Estonian tech companies, where they showcased innovations that could enhance Botswana’s own digital infrastructure and solutions across sectors like health, education, and finance.

We then proceeded to a tour of Tallinn University of Technology, a hub for cutting-edge research and collaboration between academia and industry, something we are working to strengthen back home. I wrapped up the day at Unicorn Squad, a robotics and technology program designed exclusively for girls, which left me truly inspired. This initiative is a powerful example of how we can break barriers and empower the next generation of women in STEM.

These engagements are more than just symbolic, they represent practical lessons and opportunities that will shape how we roll out our own digital agenda and create a Botswana that is inclusive, innovative, and ready for the future.
