Prominent businessman Johan Rupert and former golfing greats Ernie Els and Retief Goosen will accompany President Cyril Ramaphosa on an official visit to the United States, where he is scheduled to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump.

This is after Trump cut funds to South Africa stating that the whites were being treated unfairly.

The high-level delegation signals a strategic push by Pretoria to strengthen bilateral economic relations and promote South African interests abroad.

Rupert, chair of Richemont and one of the country’s wealthiest individuals, is expected to play a key role in business discussions.
