Controversial businessman Wicknel Chivhayo has revealed he holds no personal grudge against Zimdancehall star Winky D, emphasizing that he would acknowledge the artist’s talent if approached properly.
This marks a surprising turnaround following months of public tension and previous mockery.
A recently deleted video from Chivhayo’s Facebook stories showed his car radio playing “Kumusoro,” a gospel-inspired collaboration between Winky D and Nicky Genius. Notably, Chivhayo muted the original audio and replaced it with Jah Prayzah’s “Ibvapo,” but eagle-eyed fans managed to spot the song details on the screen.
This incident comes after months of public discord. In February 2025, Chivhayo publicly mocked Winky D on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “TRUE STORY… he’s just seeking my attention but I’ve never given him anything because he’s an opposition puppet. Maybe he should start a GO FUND ME for a Rolls Royce Phantom to see if his music can even match Aqua.”
Despite his earlier criticisms, Chivhayo now states he would support Winky D if he approached him respectfully. In a recent post, he wrote:
“I’ve never said I dislike Winky D’s music, and I acknowledge he’s a talented artist with a large following. The issue is his approach. If he came to me, saying, ‘Brother, we may differ politically, but please recognize my talent,’ I would have no problem. It’s his poor handlers influencing him negatively.”
