The Vatican has announced a new pope in a historical moment for the Catholic Church Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost is the new elected Pope.
He was born in Chicago and now is known as Pope Leo XIV, is the first American to hold the position in the Church’s 2,000-year history.
Pope Leo XIV who is 69 is expected to carry on the reforms of the previous pope.
