Prophet Tapiwa Freddy, known as Prophet T Freddy, did not attend his scheduled court appearance at the Kadoma Magistrates Court regarding a land dispute on Wednesday.
This marks a recurrence of his absence in the case where he is the complainant.
The trial, overseen by Magistrate Yeukai Dzuda, could not proceed as both Freddy and his witnesses were absent.
Freddy’s attorney, Jivas Mudimu, suggested that the appearance was for a remand and not an actual trial, indicating that the State would summon witnesses for future dates.
The case involves allegations against property developer Kudakwashe Taruberekera for revoking a land donation, with Freddy seeking to prevent any transfer of the property through the High Court.
The case has faced several delays, with the next hearing set for April 30, following prior postponements. Freddy also has similar legal disputes pending in two other courts, adding to the case’s complexity.
