In a recent statement, prominent political figure Job Sikhala expressed strong support for fellow opposition members Jacob Ngarivhume and Amos Chibaya, amidst ongoing scrutiny and allegations against them.
Sikhala’s comments were prompted by a controversial police press statement suggesting that Ngarivhume and Chibaya had been implicated in inciting violence or property damage.
“When you are their usual target nyangwe vakaita mweya kudzimba dzavo vanoti ndiwe. I have never heard or come across either an article or activity where my two brothers Jacob Ngarivhume and Amos Chibaya are said to have instigated, incited, or involved in any property damage. Uku kungovengwawo uku. Havana nyadzi vanhu ava!!!'”Sikhala tweeted in response.
His remarks highlight concerns over what he perceives as an unfair targeting of opposition voices within Zimbabwe’s political landscape.
