Vice president Chiwenga has denied President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa’s proposal to pardon Marry Chiwenga.
A leaked audio featuring Zanu-pf spokesperson Christopher Mutsvangwa has revealed that Mnangagwa has been considering to pardon Marry Mubaiwa however Chiwenga is strongly opposed to this .
This disagreement is said to be part of a larger struggle for power and influences between Chiwenga and Mnangagwa.
Mubaiwa’s case has been highly publicized in Zimbabwe she was arrested in 2020 December for allegedly attempting to kill Chiwenga while he was hospitalized in South Africa and she has been denied access to her children.
