The  Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have released a statement addressing billionaire Elon Musk’s recent suggestion that South African politician Julius Malema be labeled an international criminal.

Musk’s remarks, made in the context of escalating tensions surrounding land reform and economic policies in South Africa, have drawn sharp criticism from the EFF.

“Immediate sanctions for Malema and declaration of him as an international criminal,” Musk said.

The statement from the EFF underscores their commitment to defending Malema, who serves as the party’s president, and refutes Musk’s characterization of him.

The EFF asserts that such comments reflect a broader trend of foreign interference in South African affairs, particularly from influential figures in the United States and elsewhere.
