Nigel ThaSlickPastor (real name Nigel Maritinyu) is a popular Zimbabwean actor, comedian, motivational speaker, and professional event Master of Ceremonies.
He did his high school education in Nyanga at Marist Brothers. He studied Electronic Engineering at Harare Institute of Technology. He is married to his longtime girlfriend Makarina Mutasa.
His nickname Slick simply means Simply Living in Christ’s Kindness. Nigel lost his father and mother in 1993 and 2004 but God has seen him through Life’s difficulties.
He is famed for posting hilarious skits on social media pages alongside another popular comedian Comic pastor.
Around 2016 Nigel started a Facebook page and YouTube channel together with a group of friends where they would create weekly comic and inspirational material.
Their videos became popular and circulated widely on other social media, especially WhatsApp. Nigel is part of regular skit releases of a group comprising fellow actors Comic Pastor, Patricia Putsai and Gamuchirai Duve. Nigel is the president and founder of A4KJ Worldwide.
The comedian known as Babamunini Nijo has received a huge boost in his acting career after landing a role in a Netflix movie .
Nigel joins other content creators to ink a deal with the production company rising from just Skit performers to Netflix actors.
He has managed to endear himself to multitudes of fans through his recently released new drama series called Crossroads which is currently trending on Youtube.
