For years, Kukurigo withheld the most sensitive evidence of Advocate Mahere’s involvement in the breakdown of Tinashe Murapata’s marriage—not because the evidence was weak, but because publishing private communications would have inflicted needless pain on innocent parties. That restraint was subsequently turned against us: what we declined to expose was treated as though it had never happened.
A US$100,000 judgment now makes silence untenable. We will therefore begin publishing, in stages, the primary-source communications necessary to establish the material facts, redacting wherever possible to protect innocent parties. This is not a choice made lightly. But discretion cannot become the means by which a falsehood is preserved, nor can decency require submission to a judgment we maintain was procured by fraud.
An application for rescission is presently before the High Court, and we have every confidence that, once the documentary record is properly examined, the fraudulent judgment will be set aside.
