WATCH LIVE: Generals Want More Access To Chiwenga

WATCH LIVE as Gambakwe unpacks the demand by Zimbabwe Generals  for more access to Chiwenga.

This comes after the latest post by Chiwenga supporter, Kerina Mujati who claims that Generals want more access to Chiwenga and urgent action in the face of the present danger posed by Mnangagwa’s plan to extend his term.

Minnie Baloyi is portrayed as a calculated influencer (quiet and strategic, unlike the loud Grace Mugabe) who is isolating Chiwenga from his military comrades (“Cdes”) and honest advisors. She allegedly controls access, shields him from ground realities, and reassures him that “all is well” while the nation suffers.

Luxury lifestyle contrast: Her visible appetite for constant holidays, travel, fine dining, swimming, cycling, and indulgence clashes with Chiwenga’s “pasi nezvigananda” (down with profiteers/saboteurs) slogans and the country’s distress/poverty. The post questions why he is always vacationing while President Emmerson Mnangagwa (“ED”) makes strategic political moves.

Strategic distraction and weakening: Minnie is accused of softening Chiwenga’s political urgency, redirecting his focus, and making him complacent — leaving him removed from reality and unable to engage freely with comrades who would tell him the truth.

Direct parallel to Robert Mugabe’s downfall: Just as Grace Mugabe allegedly dismantled Mugabe’s power base by isolating him, Minnie is doing the same. The post warns Chiwenga not to become “another Robert Mugabe” and face a “walk of shame” — leadership in isolation is dangerous.

Association with Zodwa Mkandla: The post highlights Minnie’s close ties to controversial figure Zodwa Mkandla (called her “godmother who controls her”), deepening concerns about influence and intent. The attached photo shows Minnie Baloyi (in a white lion-emblazoned outfit with cape) proudly posing with Zodwa at an event.

Overall message: This is not love but control. Chiwenga must “open his eyes,” reconnect with his fellow generals/comrades for grounded advice, stop the vacations, and prioritise reality over being “fooled.” The post ends with a strong warning that history (Mugabe era) is repeating, framed as speaking an uncomfortable truth in 2026.
