Collins Mnangagwa’s Mother In Law Denied Bail

• Dyonne Tanaka Tafirenyika (28)

• Noreen Jessub (52)

The Charges:
The three are facing drug-related charges after their arrest on Wednesday at a lodge in Ilanda suburb.

The Alleged Evidence:
Police claim they found the following during room searches:

• Arab & Noreen Jessub: Cocaine in their rooms.

• Tafirenyika: One sachet of crystal meth, one sachet of cocaine, and US$53,055 in cash.

Court Outcome:

• Bail was denied for all three.

• The prosecution opposed bail, arguing that:

  1. The evidence against them is strong.

  2. They pose a flight risk.

• They have been remanded in custody until September 3.
