Chief (Nduna Nkulu / Inkosi) Nhlanhlayamangwe Felix Ndiweni delivered a forerun address on 19 April 2026, calling for or speaking ahead of this day which will be focused on:
- Spiritual unity and healing for the Ndebele people.
- Reflection on historical and ongoing issues affecting Matabeleland (including cultural preservation, leadership disputes, and past atrocities like Gukurahundi).
- Seeking divine intervention for peace, justice, and the well-being of the nation amid political and socio-economic challenges in Zimbabwe.
