Entry Requirements:

  • Normal Entry: Specified ‘A’ Level subjects and at least 5 ‘O’ Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics unless indicated otherwise.

  • Mature Entry: Candidates at least 25 years of age with relevant work experience.

  • Special Entry: Candidates with relevant diplomas and work experience.

  • Mathematics Bridging Course (MBC): For candidates with relevant ‘A’ Levels but lacking ‘O’ Level Mathematics.

FACULTY OF NATURAL RESOURCES, MANAGEMENT AND AGRICULTURE

BSc Hons Agricultural Economics Normal: 5 ‘O’ Levels (English, Math, Science). ‘A’ Level passes in at least two subjects (Economics, Math, Geography, etc). Special: ND or HND. Mature: 25+ years (23 for females) with 5 years experience. 4 Years Conventional/Block
BSc Hons Animal Production and Health Normal: 5 ‘O’ Levels (English, Math, Science). 2 ‘A’ Levels in Biology or Agriculture and any other science subject. Special: Diploma in Agriculture or Animal Health. Mature: 25+ years with 1 year experience. 4 Years Conventional/Block
BSc Hons Animal Science Normal: 5 ‘O’ Levels including English, Math and Biology or Agriculture. 2 ‘A’ Levels in Biology or Agriculture and any other science subject. Special: National Certificate or National Diploma in Agriculture or Animal Health. 4 Years Conventional/Block
BSc Hons Crop Science Normal: 5 ‘O’ Levels at Grade C or better (English, Math). 2 ‘A’ Levels in Agriculture, Crop Science, or Biology and any science subject. Special: National Diploma in Agriculture, Crop Production, or Horticulture. 4 Years Conventional/Block
BSc Hons Horticulture and Crop Production Normal: 5 ‘O’ Levels at Grade C or better (English, Math). 2 ‘A’ Levels in Agriculture, Crop Science, or Biology and any science subject. Special: National Diploma in Agriculture, Crop Production, or Horticulture. 4 Years Conventional/Block
BSc Hons Geography and Environmental Science Normal: 5 ‘O’ Levels (English, Math). ‘A’ Level pass in Geography and any other science subject. Special: National Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Environmental Sciences. 4 Years Conventional/Block

B.Eng Hons Metallurgical Engineering Normal: 5 ‘O’ Levels (Math, English, Science). 2 ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics and Chemistry. Special: National Diploma in Minerals Engineering or equivalent. 5 Years Conventional/Block
BSc Hons Mining Engineering Normal: 5 ‘O’ Levels (Math, English, Science). 2 ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics and Physics. Special: National Diploma in Mining or equivalent. 4 Years Conventional/Block
BSc Hons Mathematics and Statistics Normal: 5 ‘O’ Levels (Math, English, Science). 2 ‘A’ Level passes including Mathematics. Special: National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant area. 4 Years Conventional/Block

FACULTY OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

B.Comm Hons Accounting Normal: 5 ‘O’ Levels (English, Math). 2 ‘A’ Level passes in at least two: Accounting, Economics, Management of Business, Mathematics, etc. Special: National Diploma in Accounting. 4 Years Conv/Block/Weekend
B.Comm Hons Marketing Normal: 5 ‘O’ Levels (English, Math). 2 ‘A’ Level passes in any commercial subjects. Special: ND or HND in Marketing. 4 Years Conventional/Block

POST GRADUATE PROGRAMMES

  • Master of Philosophy (Faculty of Natural Resources Management and Agriculture): 2-4 Years.

  • Master of Philosophy (Faculty of Engineering and the Environment): 2-4 Years.
