President Emmerson Mnangagwa has fired Industry and Commerce deputy minister Roy Bhila, just three months after his appointment.
The reasons for the dismissal have not been officially disclosed.
The Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr. Martin Rushwaya, announced the removal in accordance with Section 108 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment 20 Act.
