Weeks after his tragic passing, Zimbabwean billionaire Wicknell Chivayo continues to dominate social media conversations, with a diamond-encrusted portrait of the late flamboyant businessman going viral across platforms. The dazzling artwork, featuring Chivayo’s likeness adorned with what appears to be sparkling diamonds, has captivated the imagination of fans and reignited discussions about his lavish lifestyle.
The video, which began circulating online on October 26, 2026, showcased the large, framed portrait displayed prominently within an upscale home, drawing widespread attention for its ostentatious tribute to a figure known for his extravagant tastes.
Chivayo, aged 43, died on September 30, 2026, when a private helicopter carrying him, his wife Lucy Muteke, and four others crashed in the Marondera Rural area, east of Harare. All six occupants perished in the accident, which was attributed to deteriorating weather and poor visibility.
His funeral, held on October 8, 2026, was itself a spectacle, featuring a fleet of luxury Rolls-Royce vehicles, including seven Cullinan Series II SUVs and Ghost sedans, which underscored the businessman’s opulent life.
The latest viral moment surrounding the diamond portrait adds another chapter to the ongoing public fascination with Chivayo’s legacy, which includes reports of unpaid luxury cars gifted to celebrities and his ex-wife and children continuing to make headlines.
