Warrants of arrest issued for Amina Jassinta Jessub Arab (47), Dyonne Tanaka Tafirenyika (28) and Noreen Jessub (51) after they skipped their court appearance in Bulawayo. Their lawyer said they were still travelling from Harare; the magistrate rejected the excuse. This is the ZimLive post you originally asked about.
- 30 September 2026: The three appeared in court and were further remanded (State still awaiting some witness statements). Next date set for 21 October.
- 24 September 2026: Granted bail by Bulawayo High Court Justice Munamato Mutevedzi (fourth attempt). Each ordered to pay US$1,000, surrender passports, and report twice a week at Hatfield Police Station in Harare.
- 16 September 2026: Third bail application denied by Regional Magistrate Sibonginkosi Mnkandla. Remanded in custody to 30 September.
- Around 10–11 September 2026: They reapplied for bail, citing changed circumstances (passage of time, no trial date, incomplete investigations, questions over evidence).
- 24 August 2026: Bail denied by Magistrate Taurai Manuwere (first application). Remanded in custody. A later High Court appeal also failed.
- 20–22 August 2026: First court appearance in Bulawayo; bail ruling postponed. They spent the weekend in custody.
- 19 August 2026: Arrested at a lodge in Ilanda, Bulawayo on charges of dealing in/possession of dangerous drugs. Police allegedly recovered cocaine sachets from the rooms of Arab and Jessub, plus crystal meth, cocaine and US$53,055 cash from Dyonne’s room. Arrests occurred shortly before they were due to board a private jet to Dubai.
- 4 August 2026 (related): Kelsea Tafirenyika (Collins Mnangagwa’s second wife, daughter of Amina and sister of Dyonne) arrested in Harare on separate drug charges. She was later granted bail, then re-arrested on money-laundering allegations involving assets worth roughly US$9–10 million, and remains out on bail in her own cases.
