Hilton Tapiwa Liwanda (29) was arrested after posing as a representative for MP Scott Sakupwanya.

Liwanda falsely claimed the MP was stranded at Lanseria Airport needing private jet parking fees and defrauded a victim of R60,000 via an FNB bank transfer.

Following his arrest, Liwanda appeared before Harare Magistrate Tapiwa Kuhudzai on September 24, 2026, where he was granted US$300 bail and remanded to October 8, 2026.
