ZNA ANNOUNCES DEATH OF MAJOR GENERAL (RTD) DZIHWEMA
The Commander Zimbabwe National Army, Lieutenant General Asher Walter Tapfumaneyi has announced the death of Major General (Rtd) Everisto Dzihwema, who passed away in India this Thursday. He was 63.
Retired Major General Everisto Dzihwema was a senior military officer in the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) and a prominent civil servant who passed away on 25 June 2026 at the age of 63. He died while undergoing medical treatment in India.
Military and Public Service Career
- Senior Military Rank: Served as a highly decorated Major General within the Zimbabwe National Army before his retirement.
- Ministry of Youth: Held the position of Chief Director within the Ministry.
- Ministry of Veterans: Served as Chief Director for the Ministry of Veterans of the Liberation Struggle.
- Board Membership: Appointed as an active member of the Veterans of the Liberation Struggle Board.
