The leaked audio (from last Wednesday) featured a conversation between Apostle Java and someone suspected to be a senior journalist

Nine CID officers in five vehicles stormed the church premises in the morning

They summoned workers and pastors for questioning, then went to Apostle Java’s house to check his cars and verify his address

Apostle Java’s younger brother, Pastor Simba, was among those interviewed

The raid followed a Sunday visit to his church premises in Tynwald and Ruwa by CID officers in an Isuzu (AFU 9923)

CID did not disclose the charges they intend to lay against Apostle Java over the audio

The conversation was allegedly based on what Tagwirei told Apostle Java’s young brother, Passion Java

Both brothers denied any involvement in the recording

Critics say the recording exposed how Tagwirei has allegedly captured President Emmerson Mnangagwa and state institutions (army, judiciary, police, prisons, etc.)

Tagwirei claimed he would be the next president after Mnangagwa and would use constitutional amendments to bury VP Constantino Chiwenga’s presidential ambitions

Many in Mnangagwa’s inner circle were implicated in the 33-minute audio

Tagwirei’s online backers dismissed the audio as a hoax

Prophet Ubert Angel is reportedly leading an onslaught against Apostle Java

Angel has vowed to spend up to US$1 million to ensure Apostle Java is arrested

On Sunday (before the CID raid), Angel’s associates (e.g., Prophet Elijah) had already told people Prophet Java would be arrested that day

Angel began pushing for Apostle Java’s arrest last Thursday (a day after the audio went viral)

Angel went to see Tagwirei to call for Apostle Java’s arrest

Angel made a video prophesying a popular church leader would be arrested but was forced not to post it after failing to secure clearance

Angel wanted Apostle Java arrested, tortured, and forced to issue an apology statement admitting he lied – as “reasonable damage control” and to collapse Apostle Java’s church

Angel has been fighting Apostle Java for years, including allegedly trying to hire girls to frame Apostle Java for rape

The long-standing rift involves accusations of extortion, blackmail, and smear campaigns

In 2024, Angel allegedly hired hitmen from South Africa to eliminate Apostle Java

Apostle Java’s aide, Nigel Dutiro, filed an official police report at Harare Central Police Station over the alleged assassination plot
