Zimbabwe Ministers Face Arrest

Key Officials & Allegations

  • Minister Masuka: Acted alone, changing land schedules in red ink without following proper rules. He ignored signatures from party leaders and favored those who could pay for land.
Recommendation: A full land audit in Mashonaland West, reforms by the new minister (Hon. Haritatos), and an investigation into Masuka’s land offers.

  • Minister Marian Chombo: Involved in fake rehabilitation permits and worked with Masuka to create a new land schedule, kicking rightful land owners (including youths) off their land.
Recommendation: Action based on existing evidence, plus investigation by police (ZRP) and anti-corruption agency (ZACC).

  • Dr. Martin Rushwaya: Called one of the most corrupt officials. He protects corrupt ministers and works only for his own profit.
Recommendation: A lifestyle audit (which he would fail).

  • ZRP and ZACC: Weak and ineffective. They go after social media cases but ignore serious land corruption.
Recommendation: They must seriously investigate Masuka, Chombo, and others.

  • Joint Operations Command (JOC): Has lost trust and is no longer reliable.
    Recommendation: Institutional reform.

Chamisa Intelligence Memo (Chamisa, Atherstone & Cook)

A document titled “6 Internal Activities: Attributed to Nelson Chamisa” (updated 9 April 2026) claims:

  • Jameson Timba told an “asset” that Chamisa’s political relevance is “effectively ended.”

  • Chamisa allegedly took $5 million from ZANU-PF’s Dr. Kudakwashe Tagwirei.

  • The money was first kept at Atherstone & Cook (lawyer Innocent Chagonda).

  • After the firm raised concerns about breaking banking laws, $4 million was withdrawn. $1 million reportedly remains.

  • Some ZANU-PF members are angry, calling Chamisa a “sellout” supporting the 2030 agenda. Timba warned of a possible assassination threat.
