WATCH LIVE as Gambakwe unpacks the announcement by the that ZIG can now be used to buy fuel. The  Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Governor Dr. John Mushayavanhu addressed public concerns about ZiG usage, including for fuel purchases.  He confirmed that fuel can indeed be bought with ZiG. Dealers have flexibility to set their own exchange rate when accepting ZiG (e.g., the “exchange rate of your choice” he mentioned), but he promoted using rates closer to official ones (around ZiG25/USD at the time) to make ZiG more attractive and fair.

Chief Ntikedzeni Makhuvha (59) was shot and declared deceased on Monday, 2 March 2026, at approximately 00:00 at the Traditional Authority’s Royal House in Hamakhubva Ndarieni village. This village is situated in the Makhuvha area, located outside Thohoyandou .Two unknown suspects wearing balaclavas and security-type uniforms forcibly entered the residence by breaking a window. The suspects fled in a white Toyota Hilux (registration FVN 938L) along with a laptop, a television, and two cellular phones.
