WATCH LIVE as Gambakwe looks at the latest statement by Zimbabwe Justice Minister, Ziyambi Ziyambi who said yesterday that there are no plans to hold a referendum for Zimbabwe’s broad constitutional amendments because it is not required for term limit provisions. He also said they are seeking a third term for Mnangagwa and therefore a referendumis not required.

Ziyambi has not said why the changes are requirede and who demanded the changes. Ziyambi says the reason for removing direct Presidential elections is to remove toxicity, violence and disputed elections.

However, he does not mention that in Zimbabwe, there was a referendum wheer people were asked to choose the type of system they wanted to use and in 2013, Zimbabweans chose the directly elected President.
