Breaking Godfrey Karembera popularly known as Madzibaba VeShanduko, was arrested last night and is currently being held at Harare Central Police. Lawyers have confirmed.
- Police claim that Karembera, also known as Madzibaba VeShanduko, and an associate, Kudzai Weston Saruwaka, fled during a high-speed chase.
- They are wanted for allegedly distributing political flyers in Harare suburbs like Machipisa, Glen View, and Budiriro.
- Authorities allege that the flyers were meant to incite participation in unsanctioned protests planned for October 17.Â
- This is not the first time Karembera has faced legal trouble. He has been arrested on multiple occasions before.
- In March 2022, he was arrested and reportedly assaulted while in police custody at Harare Central Police Station on charges of disorderly conduct.
- In that case, he was later granted bail.
