20 gas tanks exploded at Chipopera, at Mpandawana Growth Point 1t 16:30 on 15 September 2025 seriously injuring an attendant manning the gas filling station.
The tanks exploded one after the other sending people running in all directions. Filling stations are regulated by Zera and substandard operating conditions can result in devastating accidents.
