Afro-pop singer and performer Vimbai Zimuto has spoken out to set the record straight on her much-talked-about relationship with Studio 263 actor Denzel Burutsa, popularly known as Jabu.
Zimuto explained that what many people saw between them was not a real romance but a staged act.
She said the two had agreed beforehand to collaborate, and she even asked Burutsa if he was involved with anyone at the time.
According to her, Burutsa assured her that he was single, only for her to later discover that his ex-partner was pregnant.
Despite the controversy, Zimuto revealed that there are no hard feelings between them and that she and Burutsa remain close friends to this day.
She also admitted that the two had actually dated years back “in the heydays,” long before their public collaboration drew attention.
