Mnangagwa and Duma Boko have openly clashed during his visit to Botswana. Mnangagwa was not accorded the special treatment that he was expecting and left immediately after the ceremonies.
– Duma Boko did not accompany Mnangagwa as he toured the SADC offices, he only arrived for the handover ceremony.
– Mnangagwa was contained in the SADC office and the SADC Standby force facility.
– Duma Boko wrote in a statement on Facebook that he is the one who launched the SADC Standby Force facility.
– Military and International partners boycotted the ceremony.
The SADC standby force has been faced by funding challenges, with only $15 million raised out of the $45 million.
The USA and EU which have a significant presence in Botswana, was not present at the ceremony.

Observation
Duma Boko did not want Mnangagwa to visit Botswana and only allowed him to visit SADC. Duma Boko is focused on the SEZ, he could have taken Mnangagwa there but did not do so.
