Kenya’s Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has been removed from office following an impeachment yesterday.
This comes after Kenya’s Senate voted to impeach Rigathi making him the first deputy to be removed since impeachment was introduced in Kenya’s 2010 constitution.
Gachagua was impeached on five out of 11 charges including gross violation of the constitution and stirring ethnic hatred.
