Former United States President Barrack Obama has mourned the sad passing of one of the greatest Basketball players Bill Walton.
Walton died Monday at the age of 71 after a prolonged fight with cancer.
Taking to X, Obama said he is saddened by the passing of the legend.
“We are poorer for his passing, and Michelle and I send our deepest condolences to his family”, said Obama.

He described Bill Walton as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, a champion at every level adding that he was also a wonderful spirit full of curiosity, humor and kindness.
Walton was a two-time NCAA champion at UCLA, a two-time champion in the NBA, a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, an on-court icon in every sense of the word.
And off the court, Walton was a fun-seeker and a broadcaster.
