Professor Mandivamba Rukuni has been appointed as the new chairman of the Zimbabwe council for higher education (zimche).
Zimche is mandated at promoting and codinating education provided by institutions of higher education and to act as a regulator in the determination and maintenance of standards of teaching and examinations.
Rukuni is also the chairman of Great Zimbabwe University. He has served in the higher and tertiary education sector with great distincion.
