Net One CEO, Raphael Mushanawani, is being accused of running Zimbabwe ‘s second largest mobile network operator Net One , into the ground through arrogance, corruption and mismanagement.

NetOne CEO, Raphael Mushanawani has been accused of unprofessional behavior and bullying by employees at NetOne Cellular.

It has been alleged that since assuming the role of CEO he has been boasting of his connections and has been abusing employees.

Mushanawami is reported to have deployed a team in Loss Control and Revenue Assurance that he tasks to follow employees everywhere to check what they are doing, even after working hours.

It is alleged that the loss control team can at any time request access to whatsapp messages of any employee to see what they are communicating. He has also fired some employees on false allegations, allegedly so that he can appoint his cronies.

The Net One board was approached by employees and did not act, as board members are compromised due to the conflicts of interests arising from dirty deals they do with NetOne through their companies and also the foreign trips.

The Net One board chairpeson is reported to be always traveling out of the country with Mushanawani and he gets hefty travel allowances for these frequent trips.

Employees told Gambakwe Media that Mushanawani is so petty and not fit to sit at the helm of such a big organisation like Net One. The majority of employees agree that since his arrival, Mushanawani has destroyed this morale and made Net One a toxic workplace and worthless asset.

Strangely, the loss control team has refused to investigate the ownership of a company that is contracted to install and repair base stations, which employees allege is owned by members of the board.

The well connected Mushanawami has also used his close relationship with former minister of ICT, Jenfan Muswere, to get himself appointed to the Zimpapers Board.

His close relative, Cletus Mushanawani was also appointed as the new Manica Post newspaper editor.

The NetOne CEO, Mushanawani, alleged to have dismissed top managers in 2023, on false allegations, leaving only “yes men” who blindly listen to his orders without any questioning.
