President Emmerson Mnangagwa has returned home from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia where he attended the 37th Ordinary Session of the Africa Union Summit.

Mnangagwa was welcomed at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport by Vice Presidents, Constantino Chiwenga and Kembo Mohadi, Minister of Defence Cde Oppah Muchinguri Kashiri, service chiefs and senior government officials.

He attended the official opening of the African Union Summit on Saturday.

The President also witnessed the unveiling of a statue for the late African luminary, Julius Kambarage Nyerere on Sunday morning, before his return.

The Summit explored ways to strengthen strategic partnerships between AU Member States in order to build resilient education systems and inclusive learning for Africa.
