Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote has opened a $19 billion oil refinery to help Nigeria reduce fuel imports.
The $19 billion project began production in mid-January to reduce Nigeria’s dependence on other countries for its oil imports.
Nigeria is currently lacking the refining infrastructure to pull petroleum from its own soil.
The refinery is located off the coast in Lekki.
