NewZimbabwe.com reports that Vice President Constantino Chiwenga is expected to testify against his ex wife Marry Mubaiwa at the Harare Magistrates Court.
Chiwenga accuses Mubaiwa of trying to murder him while critically ill and undergoing treatment at Netcare Hospital in Pretoria in 2019.
Prosecutor Lancelot Mutsokoti told the court yesterday that the State seeks to summon Chiwenga to testify on December 7 as the trial continues.
Health and Child Care Deputy Minister Dr John Mangwiro revealed that Chiwenga received treatment from a veterinary doctor at the instigation Mubaiwa while being admitted in South Africa.
He added that the medical team became suspicious of Marry when Chiwenga’s health would deteriorateAMP each time she visited him in the hospital.
