A petrol bomb attack on the home of Blessed Geza, a key figure in the opposition to President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s bid for a third term, has escalated the power struggle within Zimbabwe’s ruling party, ZANUPF.
This is the second vandalism incident on Geza’s property in Sanyati, and it comes after he warned Justice Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi that he would not be intimidated by “kindergartens.”
Geza, who is at the forefront of the March 31 demonstration against Mnangagwa’s attempt to prolong his term of office beyond 2028, has been a thorn in the side of the president and his supporters.
He recently released a list of people fuelling corruption and are said to be responsible for the country’s economic woes.
