The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has launched a nationwide operation to crack down on touts, with 564 arrests.

The operation, dubbed “No To Touts”, aims to end harassment and illegal activities by touts at bus terminals and pirate taxi ranks.

Police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi warned that no fines will be accepted, and those arrested will be taken to court.

Public service vehicle operators and pirate taxi drivers who employ touts will also face consequences.
