Collins Jimu, Zvikomborero Duri win US$5,000 for developing AI cancer diagnosis system

Two Zimbabwean entrepreneurs Collins Jimu and Zvikomborero Duri won the Cybertech Africa Security and Blockchain Hackathon competition held recently in Rwanda.

The duo bagged US$5,000 for developing a groundbreaking Artificial Intelligence cancer diagnosis system named Cancer360.

They beat 120 contestants from different countries in Kigali.

The cancer diagnosis system works with a camera called a thermo imaging which enables to check if there is a cancer that is developing in one’s body at the very early stages.

The application can detect five types of cancers, colon, skin, lung, breast and prostate cancer.
