The UZ robotics’ team has won a silver medal at the Pan African Robotics Competition(PARC), which was held at the Darkar University of Science and technology.
The UZ Faculty of engineering informatics and communications congratulated the team, which is made up of Malvern Chimbwanda, Phionah Tariro Chikwene, Malvin Munashe Haparimwi and Evans Sabvure.
The club’s project was supervised by Peter Worsnop, Patience Mpofu and Susan Mupimidzi.
The UZ robotics club came up with an Agrobot which autonomously detected weeds and can also plant seeds.
