High Court judge Justice Tawanda Chitapi has ruled against presidential candidate Saviour Kasukuwere’s urgent application seeking nullification of Statutory Instrument 140A of 2023 which amended the Electoral Act on postal voting.

In his ruling justice Chitapi said: “All said and done I’m not persuaded that this application has merit. The application is dismissed with costs.

The instrument allows the chief elections officer to receive postal votes not later than three days instead of 14 days before the polling day.
