Prominent journalist Hopewell Chin’ono has criticised CCC leader Nelson Chamisa for removing Tendai Biti from parliament.
Biti was defeated in the party’s selection process to contest against Rusty Markham.
Chin’ono said Chamisa has removed from parliament the most effective corruption fighter in Zimbabwe’s post-colonial history.
“The looters must be popping champagne in their mansions because CCC managed to do what even Kuda Tagwireyi tried and failed!”
Hopewell added that Biti was removed “through a decision made by lining people up behind a candidate.”
